When the house grows quieter, your choices grow wider.
Plum Blossom offers structured courses for empty nesters and pre-retirees who want to think carefully about money, time, and the shape of the years ahead.

Why Plum Blossom
A different approach to financial education
Structured Learning
Each course follows a deliberate arc, building understanding week by week rather than overwhelming at once.
Written Outputs
Participants leave with a written plan — something personal and considered, not a generic template.
Small Groups
Cohorts are kept small so that discussion is meaningful and feedback is genuinely useful.
Reflective Tone
The approach is considered and unhurried — treating participants as capable adults making thoughtful decisions.
Is this the right time to start?
There is rarely a perfect moment, but there is often a good one. If you are in the middle years and feeling that financial questions deserve more careful attention, we would be glad to speak with you.
Questions
Things people often ask
Who are these courses designed for?
Each programme targets a particular stage of later adult life — the empty nest years, the pre-retirement decade, or the broader second half from around 45 onward. You do not need to be a financial professional or have any prior coursework. The courses are designed for thoughtful people who want to approach their finances with more clarity.
How are the courses delivered?
Courses run in small cohorts through a combination of structured sessions and self-directed reading. Participants complete written exercises and receive feedback. Sessions can be attended in person at our Wan Chai office or remotely, depending on cohort preferences and availability.
Do the courses give personalised financial advice?
The courses are educational in nature, not a substitute for individual regulated financial advice. They help you think more clearly about your situation and ask better questions. Many participants find they are better equipped to work with financial advisers after completing a programme.
How long does each programme take each week?
We design the workload to be manageable alongside full-time work — typically two to three hours of engagement per week, including a session and any written reflection. The longer programmes naturally involve more reading and planning work, but the pace is unhurried.
What do I take away at the end?
Depending on the programme, participants complete a written plan — a decade-long financial roadmap, a second-half wealth design document, or a post-empty-nest financial review. These are personal documents developed through the course, not templates filled in mechanically.
When do new cohorts start?
Cohorts open several times a year, with dates announced to those on our enquiry list first. Please reach out through the contact form and we will let you know about upcoming starts and current availability.
